Puerta Privada is an exclusive, non-nightly rental, oceanfront resort property in Puerto Penasco “Rocky Point” Mexico. Puerta Privada meaning “private door”, is the only current resort development in town that prohibits short-term rentals (long-term leases of 6 months or longer are allowed). With this arrangement you are able to experience a community feeling where everyone knows their neighbors versus the typical condo rental resort found in Puerto Penasco. Holiday parties, golf or pickleball tournaments, pool parties, and charity events are just a few examples of the monthly events.

The condos were constructed in 2005 and 2006 and are very spacious with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms at 1,900 square feet, 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms at 2,750 square feet, and 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms at 4,600 square feet (including interior and patio space). The development has two towers with 96 condos in each. The buildings sit directly parallel to the ocean and offer unobstructed, 180 degree, breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez. Each condo comes with a 5′ x 10′ mini storage to keep bikes, coolers, umbrellas, etc. with convenient ramp access to the beach. If you need additional storage, you can purchase, or rent from another owner, a detached garage. These garages are located in the parking lot and measure 12 ft wide x 21.5 ft in length. Great for car, ATV, boat, or just general storage.

Upscale finishes such as marble tile floors, granite counter tops, slab marble showers, and stainless appliances are all standard features. Unique architecture using columns, mosaic tile, cantera stone and intricate beveled glass are incorporated throughout the property. The common areas have underground parking, two infinity edge oceanfront swimming pools (one heated in the winter), two oceanfront hot tubs (one family and one adults only), oceanfront BBQ’s, lighted tennis/pickleball court, basketball court, beach palapas, beach deck, and a dog park. The two-level owners’ clubhouse has a fitness center and game room on one level. The game room features a pool table, ping pong table, shuffle board, and a poker table. The upper level is the party clubhouse where the Puerta Privada owner parties take place. The clubhouse is outfitted with tv’s, sofas, fireplace, full kitchen, bar, and outdoor patios with built-in BBQ grills. You don’t want to miss out on the iconic Puerta Privada owner parties!
